“A Love Letter from Charlotte”
Gorelick Gallery
There was something bittersweet about this gallery exhibition. It brings together 60 sketches I drew on location around Charlotte between 2018 and 2025—capturing well-known landmarks, hidden corners, and even a few places that no longer exist. They’re reminders of how quickly this city is changing.
I originally called it “A Love Letter from Charlotte” because I wanted to share how beautiful and rapidly evolving the city is. But now that I’ve moved out of state, I realize it should have been called “A Love Letter to Charlotte.”
The exhibition runs through December 2025 at the Gorelick Gallery in CPCC’s Central Campus (inside the North Classroom building).
